Biography

Ms. Sasha E. Butler holds a Master of Science degree in Adult Education & Human Resource Development (Fordham University) and is currently a doctoral candidate for the degree of Doctor in Education in Higher Education and Adult Learning (Walden University).


She is the Founder and CEO of the Center for Global Alliance and Leadership Expansion and Executive Director at Changing Destinations where she leverages her 20 years of experience advocating for quality education, human rights, social justice, and economic development opportunities for women and youth. She is a member of the Harvard University Think Tank on Global Education and heads up an international working group with the World Council on Intercultural and Global Competence.


Ms. Butler has been recognized by numerous organizations for her work in leadership development, global citizenship, diversity and inclusion including Maryland’s Top 100 Women nomination by the Daily Record, National Association of Professional Women, Women's Leadership Development Institute, and the Journalist and Writer's Foundation. Her outstanding contribution and dedication to students, staff, and parents has also been recognized by Howard County Public School System (www.changingdestinationsjte.org). Her most precious honor is the Coin of Excellence presented by Command Sergeant Major Aaron Hall of the United States Army for her commitment to empower men and women transitioning into civilian life.
