Paris, the world\u2019s design capital, became the classroom for Interior and Product Design students of ATLAS ISDI \u2013 School of Design & Innovation as they embarked on an extraordinary Global Immersion experience. Over eight days, students explored the finest in architecture, design innovation, craftsmanship and cultural heritage, gaining invaluable international exposure that will shape their creative journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exploring Architectural Marvels & Design Landmarks<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Paris welcomed the students with its grandeur and artistic legacy, providing inspiration at every turn. From the bustling Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es to the towering Arc de Triomphe, students analysed the intricate details of historical monuments that have influenced global design aesthetics for centuries. The Eiffel Tower, with its timeless elegance, offered a breathtaking perspective on structural innovation and engineering brilliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stepping into the Louvre Pyramid and the Centre Pompidou, students discovered how contrasting architectural styles\u2014historic and modern\u2014can coexist in perfect harmony. The Louvre Pyramid, a striking glass structure within a classical setting, exemplified the beauty of blending contemporary vision with tradition. At Centre Pompidou, they explored avant-garde spatial concepts and high-tech architecture, broadening their understanding of functional, flexible design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key highlight of the immersion was the opportunity to engage with industry leaders at the prestigious Maison & Objet trade fair. Under the guidance of designers Sara and Fanny, students participated in a professional internship, gaining hands-on experience in project concept development, product sourcing, material innovation and brand storytelling. The fair\u2019s diverse exhibits introduced them to emerging trends in sustainable design, cutting-edge materials and the evolving role of craftsmanship in contemporary product design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond Maison & Objet, visits to renowned design studios such as Galerie Kreo, La Compagnie du Verre and Laetitia Perrin Studios provided students with deep insights into material experimentation and glass artistry. Engaging with experts in the field, they explored how tradition and modernity intersect to create groundbreaking designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atelier Tollis exposed Interior Design students to the artistry of bespoke furniture-making, while Product Design students uncovered the evolution of industrial design at the Mus\u00e9e des Arts et M\u00e9tiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A visit to March\u00e9 Aux Puces, one of the world\u2019s largest flea markets, highlighted the significance of repurposing and historical influences in design. Students discovered vintage treasures, rare artifacts and classic design inspirations, reinforcing the idea that design is an evolving dialogue between past and future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paris is a city of stories, and students witnessed first-hand how design and storytelling go hand in hand. At the Sacr\u00e9-C\u0153ur Basilica, they marvelled at the fusion of Romanesque and Byzantine architecture, reflecting on the role of spirituality in design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebrating Creativity & Shared Experiences<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Amidst intensive learning, students embraced moments of camaraderie and joy. A Seine River cruise offered a magical night-time view of Paris, while a karaoke and tapas night allowed them to celebrate their shared experiences in a city that had become their creative playground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With newfound confidence and a wealth of experiences, these young designers are ready to shape the future of Interior and Product Design\u2014taking inspiration from the past, embracing the present, and crafting visionary designs for tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
