Rotaract Club ATLAS is all set to host the upcoming NGO Mela, SAATHI, on 18th<\/sup> March 2023. SAATHI – The NGO mela, is a Legacy Project of RC ATLAS, which aims to empower NGOs by connecting them with resources, organisations such as Rotaract clubs, Rotary clubs, Leo clubs, Lions clubs and the general public. This is done through NGOs setting up their stalls, pitching their ideas and creating awareness about the causes they support. The audience is then enabled to decide which cause they want to contribute to and how, be it through donating, interning, or volunteering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the lead-up to the event, RC ATLAS has been organising several events and activities to support various social causes and raise awareness about SAATHI. One such event was ‘Paint for a Cause’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paint for a Cause<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The event was organised by the community service team of RC ATLAS on 9th<\/sup> March 2023. Over 30 enthusiastic students painted tote bags and scarves, which were collected by the organising committee to create awareness and raise funds for the NGOs that would be present at the NGO Mela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bake Sale<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The community service team also organised a bake sale in collaboration with the Red Boys Foundation. The bake sale was held in ATLAS SkillTech university\u2019s cafeteria from morning to evening, and the response was overwhelming. This event helped spread awareness about the cause and promote SAATHI – the NGO mela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pedal with a Purpose<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On 11th<\/sup> March 2023, the community service team of RC ATLAS organised ‘Pedal with a Purpose’. Over 20 students participated in a night cyclathon at Marine Drive, cycling for about three hours to promote the upcoming project, SAATHI – the NGO mela. The participants aimed to raise awareness about the various causes for which NGOs work day and night, showing their support for the NGOs and the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
