VFS currently has its presence only in Mumbai through its collaboration with ATLAS.
ATLAS has an academic collaboration with Vancouver Film School, Canada. Students benefit from the time tested and well-structured curriculum of VFS.

ATLAS School of Film & Animation was launched in the year 2019. The first batch commenced from July 2019 with a cohort size of 20. The second batch commenced from July 2020 with a cohort size of 50.
Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 3 PM. The class timings may be extended on requirement basis.
Yes. A meal plan is offered which is chargeable monthly.
ATLAS School of Film & Animation does not have a hostel facility within the premises. We have tie-ups with a few accommodation providers.
No. The accommodation providers are independent entities, and the charges are directly payable to them.
Limited car parking facility is available against a payment.
No. This is a 3-year rigorous program with 30-35 hours in class + assignments and requires your complete attention.

ATLAS School of Film & Animation offers two UG Program

- 2. 3D Animation & Visual Effects
The UG Program are of 3 years duration.
- 1. Film Production Directing, Producing, Cinematography and Post-Production.
- 2. 3D Animation & Visual Effects Animation, Modeling and VFX.
Students acquire generalist skills in the first three semesters before opting for specialization in the fourth semester with due advisement from the academic director.
Projected student: faculty ratio is 1 :30.
ATLAS School of Film & Animation has 3 Full-time and 7 Part-time faculties.
90 students in each program.
Except for a few courses, there are no shared courses between the two programs. Students join their chosen program from day one and participate all together only in the designated common courses, along with team building exercises, master classes and field visits.
Practical learning with relevant theoretical concepts forming an extensive foundation for practical work.
A student opting for a transfer to VFS in the third year needs to submit the following to VFS-Canada.
- 1. Portfolio- Based on 2 years at ATLAS School of Film & Animation.
- 2. Letter of Recommendation by Head of the School.
- 3. English test results- IELTS or Duolingo.
- 4. Application form duly filled.
In such a scenario, the student will pay the fee for four semesters to ATLAS School of Film & Animation (Refer the fee structure on the website) and one year fee to VFS, Canada (Refer the VFS website for more details).
Yes. For masterclasses.
Senior faculties are trained by VFS, Canada. VFS team conducts regular online training sessions for the other Indian faculty members.
Totally, the outline, direction and methodology are from VFS, Canada.
The basic structure is the same but delivered to provide a more contextual understanding of the Indian entertainment industry.
The only difference is the context and character of our respective entertainment industries.
Yes. Observership and apprenticeship are encouraged at different stages of the program.
ATLAS School of Film & Animation shall assist you in getting internship opportunities and placements. However, ultimately it is your own drive and portfolio of work that will take you places.
ATLAS School of Film & Animation does not conduct end term examination. We believe in continuous evaluation by way of class tests, assignments, presentations, and reviews which are considered important criteria for student assessment.

ATLAS School of Film & Animation will ensure a consistent student-industry interface after each year of the UG Program through observer ship/ Apprenticeship/ Internship. ATLAS School of Film & Animation provides 100 percent assistance for final placements of students.

Since the VFS challenge is in the Online mode, there is a window of about 10 days for you to complete the Aptitude Test and your portfolio. Interviews will be conducted in a window of 5 days. All relevant dates will be communicated to you once you fill in the application form.

Upon selection, you are required to pay the enrollment fee within 15 days of receiving the ATLAS School of Film & Animation admission offer letter. The enrollment fee deadline will be mentioned in the official communication to you from ATLAS School of Film & Animation.
The first semester fee must be paid on or before the date communicated to you in the ATLAS School of Film & Animation Admission Offer Letter.
The enrollment fee is INR 50,000
Security deposit of INR 25,000/- is refundable.

Is there a percentage eligibility in my Grade 12 for me to get into ATLAS School of Film & Animation?
No. There is no minimum percentage eligibility, but you should have cleared all your exams of Grade 12 and qualified in the ATLAS School of Film & Animation Challenge.
ATLAS School of Film & Animation offers its students a triple qualification.
- 1. Globally Recognized Certificate by Vancouver Film School, Canada.
- 2. UGC Recognized Degree (BA- English from Indira Gandhi National Open University)
- 3. Industry Recognized UG Diploma from ATLAS School of Film & Animation.
If you have successfully cleared the ATLAS School of Film & Animation Challenge and are awaiting grade 12 results, a conditional acceptance letter will be provided to you.
