Biography

Danilo Talanskas is a distinguished Brazilian business executive with a robust career spanning several decades in leadership roles across prominent multinational corporations. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1950 to Lithuanian immigrant parents, he cultivated a strong educational foundation, earning his undergraduate degree from Mackenzie University in São Paulo. Furthering his education, he obtained a Master of Business Administration from Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Management. Throughout his professional journey, Talanskas has held pivotal positions in major companies. He served as the Managing Director of Otis Elevator Company, one of the world's leading manufacturers of elevators, escalators, and moving walkways. His tenure at Otis was marked by significant contributions to the company's growth and market presence.

Additionally, he has experience working with General Electric, Black & Decker, and has served as the Brazilian chairman for Rockwell Automotive. Beyond his corporate endeavors, Talanskas is deeply involved in community and religious service. He is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served in various capacities, including as president of the São Paulo Brazil Santo Amaro Stake and as a Regional Representative of the Twelve from 1992 to 1995. His commitment to service extends to mentoring and advising roles, contributing to the development of future business leaders.
