Biography

Prof. Maziar Nekovee is a leading expert in telecoms, mobile and communication technologies and a Full Professor at the University of Sussex, UK. He is the Founding Head of the Centre for Advanced Telecommunications and Signal Processing and the 6G NetZero Lab. Formerly, he was the Founding Dean of the Sussex AI Institute and led 5G research at Samsung Europe. With 25+ years in academia and industry, he has driven innovations in 5G, 6G, WiFi, and spectrum sharing with applications across automotive, energy, health, and finance. He holds a PhD in Physics and an MEng in Electrical Engineering and has authored 200+ publications, 23 patents, and a best-selling book.

Prof. Nekovee sits on a number of tech advisory boards including the UK Telecom Innovation Network and the European Technology Platform in Communication Networks and Services. A sought-after speaker, he has delivered over 100 keynotes, lectures, and panels at international conferences and global tech events.
