Biography
Victoria (Vicky) L. Crittenden is a distinguished Professor of Marketing and the Peter M. Black Endowed Faculty Scholar at Babson College. She has held significant visiting positions, including Visiting Global Scholar roles in the Ph.D. programs at the University of South Alabama and Kennesaw State University, as well as Visiting Ph.D. Faculty at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
Dr. Crittenden's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts from Lyon College, followed by a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas. She earned her Doctor of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Before her tenure at Babson, she dedicated 25 years to the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, serving as the Marketing Department Chairperson for nine years and Chair of the Full-time MBA Core Faculty for three years.
Her research primarily focuses on strategic marketing, marketing management, marketing and technology, entrepreneurship, and corporate citizenship. Dr. Crittenden has an extensive publication record, authoring or co-authoring over 100 journal articles and multiple editions of "Strategic Marketing Management Cases." She has also served as the editor of the Journal of Marketing Education and was a co-founding editor of AMS Review.
Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Crittenden has received numerous accolades, including the AMS CUTCO/Vector Distinguished Marketing Educator Award and the AMA Higher Ed SIG Lifetime Achievement Award, both in 2021. Her commitment to education, research, and mentorship has solidified her reputation as a leading figure in the field of marketing.
