Biography

Prof. (Dr.) Ranjit Singh currently serves as the Vice Chancellor of Shobhit University, Gangoh, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. A distinguished pharmaceutical scientist, he earned his B.Pharm., M.Pharm., and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar. His academic excellence earned him top honours including the GP Nair Memorial IDMA Gold Medal, the Prof. Ishwar Chandra Memorial Gold Medal, and prestigious fellowships from UGC and CSIR.

With a career spanning academia and industry, Dr. Singh began as a Formulation & Development Officer at Sun Pharma Advanced Research Centre, Baroda, before serving in leadership roles across institutions such as H.N.B. Garhwal University, CT Group of Institutions, and Shobhit University where he was Pro-Vice Chancellor and officiated as Vice Chancellor of its Meerut campus.

A prolific scholar, he has over 200 publications, 100+ presentations, 14 patent applications, and has guided 38 M.Pharm dissertations and 31 Ph.D. scholars. His outstanding contributions have been honored with numerous awards, including the Global Teacher Award, Vice Chancellor of the Year, and several lifetime achievement recognitions.

Prof. Singh continues to lead Shobhit University toward new heights in academic excellence and research innovation.
