Adityaa Wagh is a 24-year-old motion graphic designer living in Mumbai. Born and raised in Vadodara, Gujarat. While in high school, he was felicitated with the National Bal Shree Honour by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, in the field of creative writing. After which, he wanted to pursue something at the intersection of visual art and poetry. He graduated from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad (Dept. of Visual Communication) in 2021. His tenure at NID involved a semester-long student exchange program at the Holon Institute of Technology, Israel with a focus on Motion Branding. After doing his graduation internship with Sony Pictures Networks India, he currently works permalance at VICE, in the field of motion design and branding. Freelancing since the second year of college, he has produced work for clients like the United Nations Development Programme, Mercedes-Benz (Buses) and Netflix India. He is often known for finding [or making] meaning where there is none and wishes to go on and produce more content than he consumes.

  3. Capturing the mood of various situations in a visual form.

  4. Using the above mentioned skills to develop well-designed visual presentations.

Assignment: Design signage for one of the systems you like.

Assignment: Design an album cover for your favorite song.

Assignment: Design a poster for 3 of your favorite films in different genres.

Showing them a deck about brand guidelines and explaining the important connotations that arise out of using a certain type, color, image or layout in a certain way.

Assignment: Design a deck for a fun non-academic topic that you are really passionate about. Try to depict your passion through design.

Assignment: Design a deck for any of your other college assignments.

Design / re-design your CV

Introduction to ‘free’ web design. 

How do Wix or Google Sites work?

Assignment: Design a landing page to place yourself on the internet.

Assignment Continued: Design a landing page to place yourself on the internet.

Presentation: Present your website on the phone and web

Course Assessment

The final submission will include all of these assignments in one folder, on the basis of which,the final assessment shall be done.

Students will be graded on the [subjective] understanding of how well have they been able to follow the rules of typography, layout, color theory, and how judiciously can they use all the above-mentioned elements to produce an aesthetically pleasing result as per the moods & trends of the brief given to them
