Course Objectives:
The core objective is to develop a thoughtful approach to Photography that would help learners build a strong technical understanding of Camera Control, Editing ability, Post-processing skills and interpretation of visual communication. This program is a blend of experiencing different approaches in Photography that encourage learners to visualize and express their own photo concepts and the confidence to work on independent projects.
Course Outcomes:
Learners will develop a strong grip over camera & lighting techniques (CO1)
Identifying the right application of the technique to construct concept (CO2)
Learners will develop a thoughtful approach & initiate original ideas to express (CO3)
Ability to experiment with Post Production workflow in Image making (CO4)
Learners will build an Independent Project Portfolio at the end of the program based on Narrative Photography (CO5)

Creative Study of different Approaches in Photography

Introduction to Manual Camera mode
Exposure Triangle & other Components
Theory & Practical Lecture on use of Shutter speed & Aperture on manual control
Combination of theory and practical lecture to learn the method of compositions
Combination of theory and practical lecture to learn White Balance, Color temperature and complimenting color scheme in visual engagement
Review the Assignment based on 1st 4 weeks of content covered
Combination of theory and practical lecture to learn Tones in black & white, role of greys and finding contrast ratios
Practical session to test the observation & creative extension of students to frame a story using a set of images together as one
Practical demonstration on essential tools on Adobe Photoshop software used to process images
Practical learning on how to compose a portraiture using the impact of lighting and building concept the enhance the character
Review of Assignment based on the lessons covered from week 6 to 9
Practical demonstration on how to design pre-production to execute a food levitation shoot
Combination of Theory and Practical study of how to work on different ways to look at spaces that include Interior & Architectural, Landscape, Cityscape, Nature & Abstract
Theory study on different aspects of Documentary photography such as Street, Photo-journalism and Social Campaigns
Theory on how to create visual storytelling series based on narration and story- concept
Students will be assigned a theme to execute a project for course completion to review and share constructive feedback on the progress
