Live Project Briefing Session with Chirag Bhatia of Cleanovo: Empowering BBA Students to Solve Real-World Industry Challenges

ATLAS ISME School of Management & Entrepreneurship hosted an engaging and insightful live project briefing session for its TYBBA (Third Year Bachelor of Business Administration) students, featuring Chirag Bhatia, the Director of SBfabcare Pvt Ltd., and a pioneer in India’s retail laundry sector through his brand Cleanovo Dryclean and Laundry Expert.
Chirag Bhatia, a visionary first-generation entrepreneur, has revolutionised professional fabric care in India. Under his leadership, Cleanovo has grown to 32 retail stores across six major cities, offering unmatched expertise in fabric and fashion care, global best practices and strategic partnerships. His session with the students was not only an industry briefing but a masterclass in practical problem-solving, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Introduction to Cleanovo’s Business Model

During the session, Chirag Bhatia introduced the students to Cleanovo’s business model, its omnichannel presence and its premium clientele. He discussed the company’s expertise in Indian fashion and fabric care, offering a detailed overview of its exclusive services. A video tour of Cleanovo’s state-of-the-art facilities provided students with an inside look at operations, cementing their understanding of the intricacies of running a successful retail laundry business in a competitive market.
Real-World Assignments for Future Managers

Chirag didn’t stop at theoretical insights; he gave the students three live projects, each addressing a key business challenge faced by Cleanovo. These assignments provided the students with the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge to real-world problems:
- Marketing Challenge: Students were tasked with creating a strategy to stabilise the highly seasonal nature of Cleanovo’s premium retail laundry business and incentivise existing customers to increase their laundry share beyond occasional and seasonal wear.
- Operations/Logistics Challenge: With urban elite customers accustomed to quick commerce, the students needed to design an efficient pickup and delivery model in Mumbai—a city where logistical complexities often impact cost and efficiency.
- Research Challenge: This project required students to counter the low-cost competition from local dhobis by proposing a professional steam ironing service tailored to regular workwear and homewear clothes.
From Classrooms to Corporates

These projects are not just exercises but immersive learning experiences, where students tackle challenges directly aligned with the realities of the premium retail laundry sector. By working closely with leaders like Chirag Bhatia, students gain unparalleled exposure to current business trends, operational challenges and innovative strategies. This hands-on approach ensures that ATLAS ISME graduates adept at solving real-world problems as they step into the corporate world. By engaging directly with industry challenges, students learn the nuances of business operations, cultivate critical thinking, problem-solving and leadership skills.
Shaping Future-Ready Entrepreneurs and Leaders

As these TYBBA students dive into their assignments, they’re not just working on academic projects—they’re contributing to innovative solutions that could redefine the future of the retail laundry sector. This immersive experience reinforces ATLAS ISME’s vision of empowering next-generation leaders who are ready to take on the dynamic challenges of the global business landscape.
