  • PublishedJune 20, 2025

At ATLAS SkillTech University, learning isn’t confined to classrooms—it transcends borders, cultures and time zones. This philosophy came alive during the recent Boston Immersion 2025, where a select cohort of ATLAS students embarked on a transformative academic journey across some of the most prestigious universities in the United States. Spanning a series of immersive sessions, campus experiences, and masterclasses, the immersion was a deep dive into global education, innovation and leadership.

Here’s a glimpse into the unforgettable week that redefined perspectives and sparked ambition.

Northeastern University – Where Experience Meets Education

The immersion kicked off at Northeastern University, renowned for its experiential learning model. The day began with a detailed admissions session led by Prof. Bradley Booke and Mr. Stephan Jordan, who introduced students to Northeastern’s co-op program and interdisciplinary academic framework.

A student-led campus tour added a personal touch, making the university feel both aspirational and accessible. The highlight was a powerful masterclass on Communication & Leadership by Prof. Melissa Berry Woods, whose U.S. Army experience offered valuable insights into emotional intelligence and trust-building.

Tufts University – Blending Intellectual Rigor with Global Vision

In the afternoon, students arrived at Tufts University, where Ms. Madeleine Key provided an overview of the university’s globally-minded, interdisciplinary academic ethos. A picturesque campus tour brought Tufts’ balance of tradition and innovation to life.

A standout masterclass on Cybersecurity by Prof. Josephine Wolff connected ethical responsibility with digital threats—especially relevant for our tech-driven world. A candid student panel discussion concluded the visit, offering real-life insights into international student life at Tufts.

Boston University – Big Ideas, Bigger Impact

The second day was spent at the vibrant and diverse Boston University (BU). Senior officials from BU’s graduate schools—including representatives from Communication, Engineering, Business, and Data Sciences—shared insights on admissions, values, and student support.

Guided tours across Questrom School of Business, College of Communication, and the Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences revealed a university deeply invested in interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation.

The academic sessions were a trilogy of inspiration:

  1. Dr. Hutch Hutchinson‘s session on feedback in communication—interactive and eye-opening.
  2. Mr. Justin Jason’s deep dive into public speaking and confidence-building.
  3. Mr. Jeffrey Considine‘s engaging masterclass on Game Design & System Thinking, which challenged students to reframe complexity through creativity.

Bentley University – Innovation, Immersion and Interaction

At Bentley University, the day began with a warm welcome from Glisery Colon and Sean Ferguson, highlighting Bentley’s strong industry-academic interface. A Creativity Workshop by Prof. Andy Aylesworth used improv exercises to enhance communication and leadership skills.

A showstopper came in the form of an Immersive VR Lab Experience led by Prof. Gaurav Shah, where students used Meta Quest 3 headsets to explore underwater environments—a vivid demonstration of VR in business education.

The day concluded with a UXC Interactive Session by Prof. Gary David, whose energy and global curiosity (including a love for cricket!) made it deeply memorable.

Harvard University – Walking Through Legacy

No immersion would be complete without stepping into the hallowed halls of Harvard University. Students were guided through Harvard Yard, Memorial Church, and the Harvard Business School (HBS) campus by graduates Ayush Shukla, Bhavya Jain, and Sanno Srivastava.

Lunch at Spangler Hall with HBS alum Sai was followed by a spirited tour by Mr. David Ager, Senior Lecturer at HBS, whose storytelling breathed life into the Harvard experience. A final session by Prof. Dana demystified HBS admissions and encouraged students to dream big—without intimidation.

Babson College & UMass Boston – Innovation Meets Insight

The morning at Babson College began with a heartfelt welcome from Mr. Jamie Kendroisky. A dynamic masterclass by Dean Dr. Amir Reza on cultivating a Global Mindset inspired introspection and cultural empathy, capped with a unique “Life Pie Chart” self-reflection activity.

In the afternoon, students visited University of Massachusetts Boston, where Ms. Danielle presented the admissions framework. A masterclass on AI in Finance by Prof. Mine Ertugrul offered a technical deep-dive into how artificial intelligence is reshaping financial strategies.

Brandeis University – The Grand Finale

The immersion concluded at Brandeis University, with a finance-focused masterclass by Prof. Anna Scherbina exploring behavioral economics. Sessions by Jennifer Voldins on career strategy and Prof. Ahmad Namini on live consulting projects showed how Brandeis bridges theory and application.

An afternoon session by Prof. Ian Roy on the intersection of tech, engineering, and business included a tour of the Rapid Prototyping & Maker Labs, featuring student-designed war robots—a thrilling finish to the immersion.

The Boston Global Immersion 2025 wasn’t just an academic tour—it was a powerful personal journey. From the historical prestige of Harvard to the entrepreneurial energy of Babson, every stop brought our students closer to understanding the future of global education and their place in it. At ATLAS SkillTech University, we are proud to foster such global exposure—because the leaders of tomorrow must learn to thrive anywhere in the world.
