ATLAS Hosts Nepali Parliamentarians: Bridging Nations Through Education

The atmosphere at ATLAS SkillTech University buzzed with excitement and cultural exchange as it welcomed a delegation of distinguished parliamentarians from Nepal. This marked the begining of a ground-breaking initiative—the first round of interaction with Young Leaders from Nepal, meticulously organised by the Observer Research Foundation. The primary objective of this meeting was to offer the budding Nepali leaders, valuable insights into ongoing transformations in India’s education sector while facilitating networking and collaborative opportunities.

Collaboration and Vision: Building Bridges Across Borders

The distinguished guests were warmly received by the senior leadership team at ATLAS, including Dr. Rajan Welukar, Vice Chancellor, Heena Thakkar, Pro Vice Chancellor, Bulbul Chaudhary, Pro Vice Chancellor and Meena Krishna, Pro Vice Chancellor. Discussions during their visit revolved around collaboration opportunities, the prospect of Master’s Progression, student and faculty exchange programs, as well as exploring the career aspirations of Nepalese youth.
Dr. Rajan Welukar, highlighting the significant trend of 40% of Nepali students pursuing education and career opportunities abroad, emphasised the need to halt this brain drain. Proposing the formation of a Nepal Skills Commission to equip students with necessary skills, he expressed ATLAS’s willingness to collaborate towards this initiative, citing the enduring relationship between Nepal and India.
Empowering Nepali Youth: Pathways to Entrepreneurship and Innovation

During the discourse, the delegation underscored the necessity for enhanced exposure and career prospects for Nepal’s youth, revealing their inclination towards entrepreneurship over traditional fields like medicine or engineering. Explorations into potential collaborations between Nepalese educational institutions and ATLAS were also key focal points, fostering an environment conducive to mutual growth and innovation.
Unveiling Innovation in Education: ATLAS’s Multidisciplinary Approach

Prof. Bulbul Chaudhary and Utsav Shroff showcased ATLAS SkillTech University’s tech-integrated, industry-focused multidisciplinary education model. Through presentations about various schools and programs such as ATLAS ISDI (School of Design and Innovation), ATLAS ISME (School of Management & Entrepreneurship), and ATLAS uGDX (School of Technology), they illustrated how ATLAS doesn’t just groom industry-ready professionals but also nurtures socially conscious individuals dedicated to giving back to society.
A noteworthy highlight was Prof. Bulbul Chaudhary’s interaction with the Nepali delegates in their native language, fostering a deeper connection and understanding between the parties.
A Promise of Collaboration and Growth

The meeting concluded on a promising note, with both parties committing to mutual collaboration aimed at elevating the education sector in their respective nations. This interaction isn’t merely a meeting of minds; it signifies an effort to strengthen ties between the people and governments of Nepal and India, aiming to broaden understanding about India’s education scenario, policies and society as a whole.
The visit by Nepali parliamentarians and young leaders to ATLAS SkillTech University stands as a testament to the power of collaboration in education. It’s not just about sharing knowledge but about fostering long-lasting relationships that transcend geographical boundaries. ATLAS SkillTech University remains dedicated to pioneering educational alliances that not only empower individuals but also bridge cultures, paving the way for a brighter, more interconnected future.
