These review weeks provided a platform for students from the second to fourth year to present their design projects and receive valuable feedback from the faculty members, industry professionals and fellow students.

This blog explores the significance of the review week, the process involved and highlights some of the most captivating projects showcased at The Design Graduate Showcase 2023.

A Week of Dedication and Preparation

The review weeks commenced in the third week of April, marking a highly anticipated period for ATLAS ISDI students. Months before the event, these aspiring designers invested considerable effort into developing their ideas, conducting research, creating prototypes and refining their designs. The review weeks represented the culmination of their hard work and offered a unique opportunity to showcase their creativity.

Interactive Presentations and Constructive Feedback

Throughout the review week, students took turns presenting their work to the panel of reviewers. These presentations involved explaining the design concepts, showcasing the design process and highlighting key features or innovative aspects of the projects. Students utilised visual aids such as slide presentations and digital displays to enhance their presentations.

Following each presentation, the reviewers engaged in a question-and-answer session with the students or groups, delving deeper into specific design decisions and requesting additional information. These interactive sessions allowed the students to demonstrate their knowledge and design rationale. Subsequently, the panel of reviewers offered constructive criticism, suggestions, and feedback, focusing on various aspects like aesthetics, functionality, usability, technical feasibility, market relevance and concept development.

By providing a platform for students to present their projects and receive feedback from esteemed professionals, ATLAS ISDI empowered them to push boundaries, explore innovative ideas, and create designs that meet industry standards.
