ATLAS ISDI Redefines Fashion Education with Immersive Parisian Experience

Recently, Fashion Design and Fashion Communication & Styling students of the ATLAS ISDI School of Design & Innovation embarked on a transformative journey to the fashion capital of the world – Paris. This immersive overseas learning experience wasn’t just about witnessing the glitz and glamour of Paris Fashion Week; it was a holistic blend of professional engagement, cultural exploration and hands-on learning that epitomises the university’s ethos.
Immersive Learning Experiences: Students became adept content creators, fashion writers and PR interns, crafting narratives at Paris Fashion Week. Working under the Fashion Farm Foundation's umbrella label HKFG, students assisted designers, gaining firsthand experience in the creative process. At the prestigious Palais de Tokyo, students refined their skills as styling assistants, immersing in high fashion.
Day 1: Embracing Parisian Charm


Touching down in Paris, the students wasted no time immersing themselves in the enchanting tapestry of the city. From strolling down the iconic Champs-Elysées to marveling at the architectural marvels like the Arc de Triomphe, the day set the perfect backdrop for what was to come. An insightful briefing with the Fashion Incubator primed the students for the exciting days ahead, offering valuable insights into the global fashion landscape.
Day 2: Unveiling the Inner Workings


The second day kicked off with a deep dive into the world of fashion PR, providing students with a behind-the-scenes look at the intricacies of public relations in the industry. A visit to the Basilica Sacré Coeur added a spiritual dimension to their exploration, juxtaposing the contemporary with the historical. Later, working as assistants for designers under the Fashion Farm Foundation’s umbrella label HKFG offered a firsthand glimpse into the creative process.
Day 3: A Glimpse into Avant-Garde

Venturing deeper into the heart of Parisian fashion, students embarked on a journey of discovery at the Iris Van Herpen exhibition, where avant-garde creations pushed the boundaries of conventional design. Another day of Paris Fashion Week shows provided an immersive experience in the latest trends and designs, while a visit to La Vallee Village showcased the epitome of luxury retail therapy.












Day 4: Scaling New Heights



Ascending the iconic Eiffel Tower, students gained a bird’s eye view of the city, symbolising the pinnacle of their Parisian adventure. This was followed by another captivating day of Paris Fashion Week shows, where students honed their skills as content creators and fashion writers. The day culminated in an industry visit to the Louis Vuitton Dream Exhibition, where art, fashion and luxury converged seamlessly.








Day 5: Behind the Scenes


An action-packed day awaited as students delved into their internships, working as styling assistants at the prestigious Palais de Tokyo. Witnessing the frenetic energy behind the scenes provided invaluable insights into the mechanics of fashion shows. A leisurely hop-on-hop-off bus tour offered a moment of respite, allowing students to soak in the essence of Parisian streets and landmarks.

Day 6: A Finale of Inspiration






The journey reached its zenith with a visit to the Musée Yves Saint Laurent, a hallowed ground where iconic looks and the founder’s legacy were immortalised. Another day of Paris Fashion Week shows saw students donning the hat of PR interns, orchestrating the narrative behind the runway spectacles. A tranquil trip across the Seine River provided a reflective moment, encapsulating the grandeur of Paris’s architectural marvels.
