ATLAS SkillTech University recently marked a momentous occasion as it held its first convocation ceremony for the graduating batch of MBA students from the class of 2023. It was a day of reflection, gratitude and celebration, where the university recognised the significant contributions made by each student to the institution, the community and their peers.

The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Jamil Khatri, Co-Founder & CEO of UNIQUS, who served as the Chief Guest. The university auditorium was filled with excitement and pride as ATLAS students attended the ceremony alongside their proud parents.

The Graduation March

The graduation march, a symbolic representation of their accomplishments, was led by an esteemed group of individuals. Dr. Indu Shahani, the Founding President & Chancellor of ATLAS SkillTech University, headed the procession, accompanied by Mr. Jamil Khatri (The Chief Guest), Dr. Rajan Welukar (Vice-Chancellor), Prof. Heena Thakkar (Pro Vice-Chancellor), Mr. Siddharth Shahani (Co-founder and Executive Director), and Dr. Parag Amin (Director of the MBA Program).

Welcome Address by Dr. Indu Shahani

In her welcome address, Dr. Indu Shahani emphasised that success in business extends beyond technical expertise. She highlighted the importance of effective communication, collaboration, critical and creative thinking, and adaptability in rapidly changing environments. Recognising that the jobs of the future are evolving rapidly, she wished the graduates success as they embarked on their new journeys. Dr. Shahani expressed her pride in the graduates, who would become the first ambassadors of ATLAS SkillTech University.

Address by Dr. Rajan Welukar

Dr. Rajan Welukar, in his address to the graduating batch, acknowledged the remarkable efficiency of ATLAS SkillTech University’s administrative process, as the students received their degree certificates just ten days after their examinations—an achievement that sets the institution apart. Dr. Welukar emphasised the importance of gratitude, introspection and fulfilling one’s duties. He assured the graduates that they would always be welcomed and remembered by the university.

As Mr. Jamil Khatri took the stage to share his words of wisdom with the MBA graduates, he urged them to give their best in everything they do—hard work, commitment, and focus. He encouraged them to continue learning and growing while fostering meaningful connections with people, always willing to help without ulterior motives.

Mr. Khatri reminded the graduates that the people they assist today would eventually return the favor in the future. He emphasised the importance of conducting oneself with decency and assured the students that they would reap the benefits as they advanced in their careers. Lastly, he advised them to be impatient yet not restless, to take charge of their lives and to approach challenges head-on.

The 2023 cohort of the ATLAS MBA program comprised students from across India, representing diverse backgrounds and bringing a wealth of experiences to the table. The MBA program offers rigorous, cutting-edge specialisations in Marketing, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Business Analytics, and Digital Marketing & Advertising. These specializations are crafted in collaboration with industry leaders, ensuring that students receive the most relevant and up-to-date knowledge and skills.

ATLAS has garnered significant recognition for its contributions to research, innovation, and community engagement. Our esteemed faculty members are renowned for their groundbreaking research, with over 129 patents registered and 2 patents granted. Moreover, they have published over 100 research papers, and our students have equally contributed to the body of knowledge. These cutting-edge, interdisciplinary MBA programs aim to transform young, creative learners into inventors, innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders. They equip students with an entrepreneurial mindset and prepare them for high-impact careers.

Throughout her academic journey, Manasi displayed an unwavering dedication, unmatched work ethic, and an intellect that shone brightly. Vice-Chancellor’s medal

Ms. Afreen Kasmani, a force of inspiration, received the Vice-Chancellor’s medal, a recognition reserved for those who exemplify extraordinary contributions to co-curricular activities and demonstrate unwavering dedication to the university community. Afreen’s involvement in numerous clubs and organisations showcased her leadership prowess. With a passion for organizing events and spearheading initiatives, she orchestrated endeavors that left an indelible impact on the university as a whole. Her selfless commitment and infectious enthusiasm served as a catalyst for positive change and unity within the university. Prof. Chetna Asbe graciously accepted the award on Afreen’s behalf.

“When I first entered the doors of this university, my goal was simply to earn a degree and secure a good placement. Little did I know that ATLAS had so much more to offer me than just a piece of paper. Within a month of my journey, I found myself hosting MBA events, sitting in conferences with top executives, and contributing to global seminars alongside industry shapers. I even had the opportunity to act in a short film and direct one the very next day. And let’s not forget the countless business marketing plans I created. All of this was made possible because my parents and every faculty member pushed me, and each one of you here, to go beyond the pursuit of a degree. Today, we stand here ready to embark on new chapters of our lives, stronger and more resilient than ever before. We owe a debt of gratitude to the many people who have supported us throughout this journey.”
