Fashion Design student Nishtha Jain’s work gets featured in Vogue India magazine

Our Senior-year Fashion Design student, Nishtha Jain was questioning the patriarchal structure of our weddings for her thesis project. When she first presented her thesis idea to her class, she received a lukewarm response. However, ideas are not just mist, they’re energy. Soon, Nishtha was contacted by a creative fashion artist and interdisciplinary designer, Doyel Joshi to assist her with her own wedding which was also going to be her art project.

Doyel, an alumna of Parsons New York, wanted to re-look at wedding rituals and bring in a more personal and less customary meaning to hers. The wedding was featured in the December issue of Vogue India magazine and covered some of the looks Nishtha worked on. Take a look at some images from the wedding.
