On the occasion of the 131st birth anniversary of Dr. S R Ranganathan, known as the father of library science, the university celebrated the event ‘Book Nook’ with great enthusiasm. This event marked the inauguration of the ATLAS Book Club, a remarkable initiative aimed at fostering a love for books and literature among the new generation.
Honouring Dr. S R Ranganathan: The Trailblazer of Library Science
Dr. S R Ranganathan’s contribution to the world of library science cannot be overstated. His five laws of library science and his emphasis on user-centered principles revolutionised the way information is organised and accessed in libraries worldwide. As a Padmashree award winner, he also established India’s first library school in Madras, Chennai, leaving an indelible mark on the field. Countless librarians across the globe continue to draw inspiration from his principles of efficient and accessible information organisation.
Eloquent Reflections by Prof. Nishith Mehta

Prof. Nishith Mehta, a faculty member at ATLAS ISDI School of Design & Innovation, shared his insights on the art of writing and storytelling. With three published books available in the ATLAS Library, his wisdom resonated with aspiring writers and book enthusiasts:

Prof. Malvika Mahidhar shared invaluable insights on cultivating a reading habit and making the most of library resources:
