Transformative Industry Immersion: ATLAS ISME’s MBA Students Explore Innovation and Sustainability at Belimo, Navi Mumbai

At ATLAS SkillTech University, we believe in providing our students with a holistic learning experience that goes beyond the confines of textbooks and classrooms. Recently, our MBA students embarked on a transformative corporate immersion journey to Belimo in Navi Mumbai, and the experience was nothing short of inspiring.

A Glimpse into Belimo’s World

Belimo, a Swiss company with a global presence in more than 80 countries, stands as a true engineering marvel and a global market leader. Belimo focuses on three core product segments:

• Actuators
• Control valves
• Sensors

Every third commercial building houses a Belimo product and the building we explored, a 100 crore state-of-the-art masterpiece commissioned in March 2022, served as the perfect backdrop for our students to witness innovation and excellence in action.

The corporate immersion proved to be a game-changer, enhancing our students’ knowledge and skills significantly. The visit wasn’t just a tour; it was a deep dive into Belimo’s vision, operational excellence and solution leadership.

Sustainability at Its Core

Belimo’s commitment to energy efficiency and environmental responsibility aligns seamlessly with the goals of our era. The company’s innovative products are a testament to their dedication, making a significant impact on global sustainability targets. The building we explored is the only one in India compliant with the Paris Agreement regarding UNFCCC’s SDG goals.

Our students had the privilege of delving into various aspects of Belimo’s operations, gaining insights into:

• Smart technologies for Energy conservation
• Smart technologies for Water conservation
• Indoor Environment Occupation health
• ESG goals and their carbon footprints
• Motivation through Impact

Witnessing first-hand the impact businesses can have on global sustainability targets was truly motivating for our students. Tushar Shinde, National HVAC Specialist at Belimo, shared invaluable insights into how Belimo’s products not only excel in performance but also contribute to a greener future.

Balancing Purpose and Profit

The students had the rare opportunity to interact with Belimo’s Leadership Team, gaining first-hand knowledge on how the company successfully balances purpose and profit. Belimo’s emphasis on innovation and sustainability, evident in their significant investments in research and development, carbon-negative status and alignment with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), left an indelible mark on our students.
