Founder of Fasthr.AI, one of India’s top eight generative AI startups

Yash, along with his co-founders Ashish Dogra, Neelu Virk, and Nilima Hemrajani, established Fasthr.AI in May 2023. This startup has quickly gained recognition and is listed as one of India’s top eight generative AI startups by Analytics India Magazine. Fasthr.AI harnesses the power of GPT-4, a cutting-edge generative AI technology, to develop a talent screening platform that aims to revolutionise HR-tech.

The platform’s impact was immediate and impressive, with over 20 demos conducted for top enterprises on its very first day, all through inbound inquiries without the need for advertisements. Fasthr.AI offered effortless screening, precise identification of top talent with an outstanding 96% accuracy rate, faster position filling and the ability to generate customised tests within seconds. These features positioned Fasthr.AI as a game-changer in the talent screening industry.

Educational achievements

Yash’s educational achievements played a crucial role in his entrepreneurial journey. He pursued a diverse range of educational programs to enhance his knowledge and skills. Yash obtained a Master’s in Business Management from the London Business School, participated in a prestigious executive part-time program in Business Administration & Management at IIM Calcutta, and completed a Financial Market, Asset Management & Financial Strategy course at HEC Paris. He also earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai.

To further broaden his understanding of entrepreneurship and finance, Yash engaged in programs such as Start-up Valuation, Finance & Entrepreneurship at Duke University and Fintech: Foundations and Applications of Financial Technology specialization. He also pursued a course in Digital Transformation, Strategy & Innovation from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and studied The Global Financial Crisis through a Coursera course offered by the Yale School of Management.

Commitment to social impact and community engagement

Beyond his entrepreneurial pursuits, Yash demonstrated a strong commitment to social impact and community engagement. Since 2017, he has been associated with Rotary International, where he serves as a student mentor for their project Bhavishyayaan (STEAM). Through this initiative, Yash taught STEM modules to over 80 underprivileged municipality school students from 5th to 9th grade using innovative games and activities. Over time, the project expanded to include arts sessions, introducing design thinking, critical thinking, and abstract thought processes to the curriculum. Yash’s involvement in Bhavishyayaan positively impacted the lives of more than 150 underprivileged municipality school students, contributing to their educational development and future prospects.

During his time as a student at ISME, Yash actively participated in a rural immersion project with Grassroutes Connect. He lived in Purushwadi, a remote village in Maharashtra and engaged with the local community to gain insights into their challenges and develop viable solutions. This experience showcased Yash’s dedication to understanding and addressing real-world problems, highlighting his empathy and commitment to making a positive difference in marginalised communities.
