Driving Social Change: ATLAS SkillTech University’s Commitment to Community Impact

At ATLAS SkillTech University, education goes beyond the classroom, shaping not only skilled professionals but also responsible global citizens. Our students are not just future professionals; they are changemakers who actively engage in social impact projects that contribute to real-world transformation. By collaborating with leading NGOs, they gain hands-on experience while uplifting marginalised communities, applying their knowledge to create tangible change. Through these initiatives, they develop essential skills such as problem-solving, teamwork and leadership, all while fostering a deep sense of empathy and social responsibility. This year, our students participated in three remarkable initiatives, each addressing a critical societal need, reinforcing the belief that education is a powerful tool for positive change.
Swayam Siddha Society of Handicapped & Pagaria Welfare Foundation NGO

Hands-on Skill Development: Engaging in content creation, branding, and packaging provided students with real-world experience.
Empowering Differently-Abled Individuals: Their efforts directly supported handicapped artisans, enabling them to sustain a dignified livelihood.
Fostering Social Responsibility: his initiative encouraged students to think beyond their careers and contribute to a sustainable future.
Festivals bring joy, but they can also have an environmental impact. The Swayam Siddha Society of Handicapped, in association with Pagaria Welfare Foundation NGO, launched Project Petalists Holi Colours, an initiative that repurposes discarded temple flowers into 100% natural, eco-friendly Holi colors. This project not only promotes sustainability but also provides livelihood opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Our students participated wholeheartedly in many areas such as: Enhancing Visibility: By creating digital content for the NGO, students helped spread awareness and attract more donors.
This collaboration was a perfect blend of creativity, sustainability, and social empowerment, proving that small actions can create a lasting impact.
Bridging Educational Gaps with Aseema Charitable Trust

Education is a fundamental right, yet access to it remains unequal. Aseema Charitable Trust is dedicated to providing quality education to marginalized children through three BMC schools, over 10 balwadis from Bandra to Santacruz, and a tribal school in Igatpuri. Their mission is to break the cycle of poverty through holistic learning programs.
Atlas students contributed by improving literacy skills as well as assisting children with reading comprehension in Hindi, Marathi, and English to enhance their understanding of core subjects. They also strengthened numeracy by helping students memorise multiplication tables and solve basic math problems, boosting their academic performance. Additionally, they supported handwriting practice and sentence formation, improving writing and communication skills essential for effective learning.
By volunteering with Aseema, our students didn’t just teach. They learned valuable lessons about resilience, inclusion, and the transformative power of education.
Empowering Communities with Junoon Foundation
Sustainable social change requires more than education. It demands skill development and empowerment. Junoon Foundation, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to uplifting underprivileged communities through children’s education, vocational training, and women’s empowerment. Volunteers contribute by teaching and mentoring children in literacy and numeracy, assisting with hands-on vocational training programs to promote financial independence, and supporting workshops that empower women economically.
Additionally, community outreach efforts focus on awareness campaigns that foster a culture of social responsibility. This initiative reinforced the importance of education, skills, and self-sufficiency, demonstrating how small efforts can create a lasting impact in underserved communities.
Education with a Purpose
At ATLAS, we believe that learning should go beyond theoretical knowledge. It should drive real-world impact. These social impact projects empowered our students to become problem solvers, change-makers and leaders of tomorrow. By collaborating with Swayam Siddha Society, Aseema Charitable Trust, and Junoon Foundation, they didn’t just contribute, they gained invaluable experiences that will shape their future careers and perspectives.
