CD students engage in experiential learning in Udaipur

The study tour to Udaipur was loaded with experiential learning opportunities for our Communication Design students. They experienced the rural lifestyle of the local communities in Rajasthan along with various performing arts and architectural styles.

The students soaked into the knowledge, history and evolution of various visual art forms through workshops conducted by local artists such as Pichwai Art workshop by Mahesh Bisnoi, Kaavad art workshop by National Awardee Kaavad artist Satyanarayan ji, Terracotta workshop at Kalpataru Terracotta Art, Research & Training Centre by Jamnalal Kumhar and Phad painting workshop.

Visiting Fateh Sagar Lake, Saheliyon ki Baadi, Kumbhalgarh Fort, Naathdwara, City Palace Museum and Shiplgram (Handicraft Artisan village) helped the students to explore their artistic skills and enrich their design sensibilities through exploration of Indian heritage and culture.
