ATLAS Champions League: A Thrilling Football Tournament by Agile Sports Club
Agile Sports Club kicked off its first event of the year with the much-anticipated ATLAS Champions League. This football tournament, held at the Equinox Turf on the ATLAS SkillTech University Campus in Mumbai, was nothing short of an extravaganza for sports enthusiasts. With 24 teams, each consisting of 8 players, the event showcased the true spirit of sportsmanship, passion and camaraderie.
Event Details
The ATLAS Champions League took place from 25th September to 4th October, offering ten days of intense football action. The tournament featured a total of 51 matches, including 24 group stage matches, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the grand finale. The matches had varying durations, with group stage, round of 16 and quarter-finals having 10 minutes per half, semi-finals at 13 minutes per half and the final match lasting 15 minutes per half. What made this tournament even more exciting was the inclusion of VAR (Video Assistant Referee) goal assistance, with a camera tracking the ball throughout the matches.

The ATLAS Champions League was sponsored by ISM, a renowned sports management school. ISM supported the event by providing customised bibs and gift hampers for the winning team. In addition to this, the winning team earned the privilege of gaining free access to a global sports cup tournament, a fantastic opportunity to showcase their talents on the international stage.
