Designing the Future of AI and Web3: Monad Blitz Mumbai at ISDI

As artificial intelligence and blockchain continue to reshape industries, the demand for professionals who can bridge technology, design and innovation has never been greater. Reinforcing its commitment to experiential learning, ATLAS ISDI hosted Monad Blitz Mumbai, a one-day hackathon that brought together developers, designers and innovators to explore the emerging Agent Economy through hands-on building on the Monad blockchain.
The event transformed the campus into a hub of collaboration, experimentation and rapid innovation, where participants worked alongside industry experts to build AI-powered, blockchain-based solutions that addressed real-world challenges.
Learning by Building

More than a coding competition, Monad Blitz Mumbai was designed as an immersive learning experience. Through expert-led workshops and an intensive six-hour hackathon sprint, participants gained practical exposure to AI-powered prototyping, decentralised application development, rapid problem-solving and user-centric product design.
Working in cross-disciplinary teams, students moved from ideation to execution within a single day, experiencing the pace and pressure of real-world product development while learning to balance technical innovation with intuitive design.
Exploring the Potential of the Monad Blockchain

The day began with an in-depth technical session by Harpalsinh Jadeja, Senior DevRel Engineer at Monad Foundation, who introduced participants to the architecture and capabilities of the Monad blockchain.
Students explored how high-performance blockchain infrastructure can support scalable decentralised applications while integrating AI-driven workflows. The session demonstrated how emerging technologies are converging to enable autonomous systems capable of operating with greater efficiency and intelligence.
By understanding these foundational technologies, participants gained valuable insight into the future of decentralized digital ecosystems and the growing role of AI within them.
Building Intelligent Applications with AI

The learning continued with a hands-on workshop led by Abhishek Sharma, Architect at Searce Inc., who introduced participants to building AI-powered applications using Gemma models and the Antigravity framework.
Rather than focusing solely on theory, the session encouraged students to experiment with open-source AI models, rapid prototyping techniques and intelligent automation. Participants explored how AI can simplify workflows, enhance user experiences and accelerate product development, equipping them with practical skills that are increasingly relevant across technology and design disciplines.
Throughout the event, Kartikey Garg, DevRel at Monad, also mentored participants, providing technical guidance and supporting teams as they refined their ideas and prototypes.
A Six-Hour Sprint of Innovation

The highlight of the day was the hackathon itself.
Within just six hours, nearly 30 teams conceptualised, designed, built and pitched functional prototypes centered around the theme of the Agent Economy, an emerging ecosystem where autonomous AI agents interact, make decisions and execute tasks on blockchain networks.
The challenge encouraged participants to think beyond writing code. Successful projects combined strong technical execution with intuitive interfaces, usability and meaningful real-world applications, demonstrating that impactful innovation happens at the intersection of technology and design.
Projects were evaluated by a panel of industry experts, including Ali Mustafa and Sachita Jain, who assessed each solution on innovation, technical implementation, user experience and effective blockchain integration. Their feedback highlighted the importance of designing products that are not only technically robust but also accessible, intuitive and user-focused.
Building Industry Connections

Beyond technical learning, Monad Blitz Mumbai provided students with direct access to leaders shaping the future of AI and Web3.
The event fostered meaningful conversations between students, developers, founders and technology professionals, creating opportunities for mentorship, networking and knowledge exchange. Community leader Prasad played a key role in enabling collaboration throughout the event, helping create an environment where learning extended well beyond the workshops and competition.
These interactions gave participants valuable insight into emerging career pathways while strengthening connections between academia and industry.
Strengthening Experiential Learning at ATLAS ISDI

Hosting Monad Blitz Mumbai reflects ATLAS ISDI’s approach to education – one that combines classroom learning with real-world industry engagement.
As AI, blockchain and decentralised technologies continue to evolve, designers and technologists must develop the ability to collaborate across disciplines, rapidly prototype ideas and solve complex challenges through human-centered innovation. Events like Monad Blitz Mumbai enable students to cultivate these capabilities while working with the tools, technologies and industry experts shaping the future.
By bringing together AI, Web3 and design thinking in an immersive, hands-on environment, ATLAS ISDI continues to prepare students not just to adapt to emerging technologies, but to lead innovation within them.
