The Master of Design (M.Des) in Design Futures is a two-year multidisciplinary program that combines visual, product, and interaction design with social, cultural, and environmental perspectives to prepare students for the challenges of tomorrow. The curriculum integrates core courses, studio projects, and a year-long thesis, allowing students to explore areas such as sustainable design, speculative design, data visualization, and design for social impact. Through a balance of research, experimentation, and collaboration with industry experts, the program encourages critical and creative thinking to develop innovative, future-oriented solutions that address complex global issues.
Our Globally Benchmarked Curriculum
Semester 1
Students learn to think critically through Critical Design, craft meaningful experiences in Experiential Design, and gain practical skills in both Digital and Analog mediums. Courses like Maker’s Studio and Design with AI encourage experimentation and future-focused thinking, while Design History provides essential context on how design has evolved and influenced society.
