Biography
Vivek is the Professor of Work and Equality at the School of Management, University of Bath. Also, he is a United Kingdom Research and Innovation Future Leader Fellow.
He leads a research initiative Embed-Dignity: https://embed-dignity.com/, and acts as a deputy director of the Centre for Business, Organisations, and Society (CBOS) at the University of Bath.
His research has been published in journals, including the Academy of Management Annals, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Journal of World Business, Organization Studies, and Human Relations.
Currently, he is an editorial board member of the Journal of Business Ethics, and Business & Society, and he reviews for numerous world-leading high-impact journals across disciplines. Also, he has been a guest editor in the following journals: Journal of Management, Academy of Management Learning & Education, and Journal of Supply Chain Management.
Vivek's research has received awards and nominations from top academic associations, journals, and media, including the Academy of International Business Best Theory Paper Award (2023), Financial Times Top 100 Papers with Social Impact (2020), Best Paper Award Nomination (2022), Business Ethics Quarterly Journal Top 3 Outstanding Articles (2020), Business & Society Journal Best Paper Award (2019), and the Academy of Management Best Dissertation Award (2014).
So far, he has acquired around £1.6 Million in funding from both industries and research councils. His research and interviews have appeared on BBC, AlJazeera, and Supply Management and he has been a panelist at several panels at conferences and events.
